GENEVA, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Swiss Federal Council announced Wednesday further measures to keep the lid on the spread of COVID-19, encouraging mass testing in the country.
From Feb. 1, testing asymptomatic persons will be authorized and the cost will be covered by the federal government, the Council said at a press conference, expressing the hope institutions will test on a mass scale so that "local outbreaks of infection can be contained early on."
