Morocco registers 867 new COVID-19 cases, 467,493 in total


RABAT, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Morocco announced on Tuesday 867 new COVID-19 cases, taking the tally in the North African country to 467,493.

The number of recoveries from the coronavirus in Morocco hit 444,823 after 1,351 more were added, while the death toll rose by 15 to 8,187, the health ministry said in a statement.

Meanwhile, 766 patients are in intensive care units.

The first batch of coronavirus vaccines developed by China's Sinopharm company will arrive in Morocco on Wednesday.
