TUNIS, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- The acts of vandalism, looting and attacks on public and private properties are not innocent in Tunisia, Tunisian Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi said on Tuesday.
"These attempts are not linked to any protest movement or to peaceful expressions of legitimate social demands guaranteed by the constitution," the Tunisian leader said, referring to the recent night clashes between some young protesters and security forces amid a COVID-19 lockdown.
