Economic sentiment in Germany rises slightly in January: ZEW

BERLIN, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- The indicator of economic sentiment in Germany increased by 6.8 points from the previous month to 61.8 points in January, according to the monthly expert survey published by the Leibniz Center for European Economic Research (ZEW) on Tuesday.

"Despite the uncertainty about the further course of the lockdown, the economic outlook for the German economy has improved slightly," said ZEW President Achim Wambach in a statement. Export expectations in particular rose significantly.
