VILNIUS, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Leaders of Baltic countries urged European Union (EU) leaders to take immediate action to ensure speed and efficiency of the vaccination process, according to a press release of the Lithuanian presidential office on Tuesday.
"We must be ambitious at both EU and national levels to achieve collective immunity within the EU. Setting a clear deadline and a specific commitment would help speed up the vaccination process," said Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, Prime Minister of Latvia Krisjanis Karins, and caretaker Prime Minister of Estonia Juri Ratas in their joint letter.
