ZHENGZHOU, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Central China's Henan Province saw its foreign trade grow 16.4 percent year on year to a yearly record high of nearly 665.5 billion yuan (102.9 billion U.S. dollars) in 2020, customs data showed.
Henan's export volume reached 407.5 billion yuan in 2020, up 8.5 percent year on year, while imports totaled nearly 258 billion yuan, up 31.7 percent, according to Zhengzhou Customs.
Henan continued to deepen trade cooperation with the United States, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the European Union last year. In 2020, the province's import and export volume with countries along the Belt and Road reached nearly 156.3 billion yuan, up 14.6 percent year on year.
During the 13th Five-Year Plan period between 2016 and 2020, Henan's import and export totaled 2.78 trillion yuan, an increase of 57.4 percent compared with that of the 12th Five-Year Plan period.
