Palestine reports 978 new COVID-19 cases as virus spread slows down

RAMALLAH, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Palestine reported on Wednesday 978 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem since March 2020 to 168,652.

"Out of the new infections, 437 cases were recorded in the Gaza Strip," Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila told reporters in Ramallah
