DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Tanzania's Mbeya regional authorities on Tuesday ordered livestock keepers to remove their animals from protected areas and commercial farms in the southern highlands region within six days or face punitive measures.
Albert Chalamila, the Mbeya regional commissioner, said the livestock keepers have invaded a national ranch at Usangu, commercial farms at Ihefu and the Ruaha National Park, posing a threat to the ecology of the areas.
