NEW YORK, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- New York City's COVID-19 test positivity rate on a seven-day average went up to 9.38 percent, compared with 9.21 percent one day earlier, Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted on Friday.
The mayor also said that there were 256 new hospital admissions and 3,960 new cases of the coronavirus, adding that "If you're able, get vaccinated now. Continue practicing social distancing and wear a mask. Let's keep each other safe."
