PARIS, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- French shares rose on Friday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.65 percent, or 37.03 points, to close at 5,706.88 points.
French water and waste group Veolia Environment advanced 4.91 percent. French digital transformation leader Atos rose 3.55 percent. Capgemini, the French multinational information technology consulting corporation, rose 2.79 percent.
