NEW YORK, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar inched higher in late trading on Wednesday as market participants focused on updates regarding two high-stake Senate runoffs in the U.S. state of Georgia.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, rose 0.10 percent at 89.5300.
