ZAGREB, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- A 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit 48 km southeast of Croatian capital Zagreb at 6:01 p.m. local time (GMT1701) at a depth of 10 km on Wednesday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The tremor could be felt clearly in the capital and many parts of central Croatia, according to some social media users.
