NYC COVID-19 test positivity rate up to 6.19 pct: mayor

NEW YORK, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- New York City's COVID-19 test positivity rate on a seven-day average went up to 6.19 percent, compared with 5.88 percent one day earlier, Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted on Wednesday.

There were 224 new hospitalizations and 2,789 new cases of the coronavirus in the city, said de Blasio. "We're not out of the woods. Wear a mask. Practice social distancing."
