FRANKFURT, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 169.12 points, or 1.26 percent, to close at 13,587.23 points.
Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.63 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and automotive supplier Continental gained by 3.32 percent and 2.74 percent respectively.
