NEW YORK, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Of the 191,476 COVID-19 tests reported on Friday in New York State, 9,919 were positive, or 5.18 percent of the total, up from 5.09 percent one day earlier, tweeted Governor Andrew Cuomo on Saturday.
The total hospitalizations were 6,208 on Friday, up from 6,081 on Thursday, added Cuomo. The state's COVID-19 hospitalizations topped 6,000 on Tuesday and has remained above the level ever since.
