LONDON, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.88 percent, or 57.59 points, to close at 6,570.91 points.
Barratt Developments, one of the largest residential property development companies in the UK, soared 4.64 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. M&G and JD Sports Fashion increased by 4.33 percent and 3.73 percent, respectively.
