SYDNEY, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Australia's largest outdoor art gallery has started in the downtown area of Melbourne, the second biggest city in the nation in a bid to entice people back to city's central area and boost the local economy, the city's council said on Wednesday.
The free exhibition is expected to become a major attraction over summer for people to stop by and appreciate the creativity from Melbourne's artistic community demonstrated on empty shops, businesses, windows, building exteriors and laneways within part of Bourke Street in the city center.
