Iran reports 7,704 new COVID-19 cases, 1,123,474 in total

TEHRAN, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Iran announced on Tuesday 7,704 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of infections to 1,123,474 in the country so far.

Sima Sadat Lari, the spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education, said at her daily briefing that 223 new deaths related to COVID-19 were registered during the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 52,670 in Iran.
