BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Brunei authority issued compound fines of 100 Brunei dollars (74.8 U.S. dollars) each to two drivers who were seen throwing cigarette butts from their cars.
The offenders have to settle their fines within seven days or face a further fine of 1,000 Brunei dollars, or a month's imprisonment, for the first convicted offense.
