BRUSSELS, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Leaders of the European Union (EU) reached an agreement to cut the bloc's greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55 percent by the end of next decade from the 1990 level, European Council President Charles Michel announced on Friday.
"Europe is the leader in the fight against climate change. We decided to cut our greenhouse gas emissions of at least 55 percent by 2030," he tweeted early Friday morning.
