LONDON, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.05 percent, or 3.43 points, to close at 6,558.82 points.
Ds Smith,a British-based international packaging business, soared 3.84 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Experian and Intertek Group increased by 3.36 percent and 3.26 percent, respectively.
