LONDON, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.08 percent, or 5.16 points, to close at 6,555.39 points.
British American Tobacco, a tobacco group, soared 4.70 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Imperial Brands and Smurfit Kappa Group increased by 3.44 percent and 2.57 percent, respectively.
