PARIS, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 1.14 percent, or 63.09 points, to close at 5,581.64 points.
Of the 40 selected large companies, 29 gained in the day.
Multinational steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal S.A. advanced 5.99 percent, French international full-service banking group Credit Agricole S.A. rose 5.49 percent. European commercial real estate company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE rose 5.41 percent.
International food company Danone lost 1.93 percent. French digital transformation leader Atos lost 1.51 percent. French payment and transactional services company Worldline went down by 0.98 percent.
