LONDON, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.64 percent, or 41.08 points, to close at 6,391.09 points.
Unilever, a British-Dutch transnational consumer goods company, soared 5.07 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Fresnillo and Flutter Entertainment increased by 3.77 percent and 2.78 percent, respectively.
Aveva Group, a British multinational information technology company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 19.95 percent. Barclays, a British multinational investment bank and financial services company, dropped 4.53 percent. Rolls-Royce Holdings, a UK-based engineering company, fell 4.19 percent.
