CHONGQING, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- The British consul-general in China who rescued a drowning student said on Chinese social media on Friday that he plans to donate the bonus awarded for his deed to charity.
Stephen Ellison, the 61-year-old newly-appointed British consul-general in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, saved a female college student who accidentally fell into the river while strolling about a scenic spot on Nov. 14 in Jiangjin District.
