Roundup: U.S. long-term care facilities experience highest weekly rise in COVID-19 cases

WASHINGTON, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- With COVID-19 cases surging across the United States, long-term care facilities experienced their highest weekly increase in six months, according to latest data of the COVID Tracking Project.

States reported 29,606 new COVID-19 cases in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other long-term care facilities over the past week, data showed. This represents a 17 percent increase, the highest weekly rise since the project started tracking the data in late May.
