Chinese company to build battery factory in Germany

BERLIN, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- China's high-tech company SVOLT Energy Technology Co., Ltd announced on Tuesday that it will build its first battery cell factory in Europe in Germany.

This is an "anchor investment in the future of the automotive industry in Saarland," said Tobias Hans, minister president of the federal state where the SVOLT plant will be built, at a press conference.
