Nearly 14,000 illegally purchased dried seahorses seized in south China

NANNING, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Police in city of Fangchenggang, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said they had busted a case involving the illegal purchase of endangered wildlife products.

Police officers have found 13,991 dried seahorses weighing about 17 kg on Oct. 30, while routinely inspecting a bus from city of Dongxing to Guangzhou, capital city of Guangdong Province.
