LONDON, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.07 percent, or 3.84 points, to close at 5,910.02 points.
Glencore, an Anglo-Swiss multinational commodity trading and mining company, soared 3.57 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Rio Tinto and Polymetal International increased by 2.88 percent and 2.87 percent, respectively.
