BRATISLAVA, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Slovakia has tested two-thirds of its population of 5.4 million people for coronavirus over the weekend (on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1), and 38,359 of them -- or 1.06 percent -- were found to be positive, Prime Minister Igor Matovic announced here after a government meeting.
"I believe that this is a significant step for all Slovak people in its fight against the coronavirus," Matovic said at a press conference, quoted by local news portal spectator.sme.sk.
