WARSAW, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Poland has increased by 21,897 in a 24-hour span, hitting another one-day high and pushing the total infections in the country to 362,731, the Ministry of Health said Saturday.
The previous highest daily spike, at 20,629 cases, was recorded on Friday. Over the past 24 hours, another 280 people have died from COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus, bringing the death toll in Poland to 5,631.
