NEW YORK, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- "#MaskUp," a campaign calling on people to wear masks in faceoff with the COVID-19 pandemic, is gaining more momentum as New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo's daughter Mariah Kennedy Cuomo on Wednesday appeared live on ABC's Good Morning America to promote the public benefit which she helped launch as a volunteer.

"We know that in New York, there's a feeling of COVID-19 fatigue. And around the country, in parts of our country, there's a hesitation around wearing masks. So, we were thinking of innovative ways to remind people of the importance of wearing masks. With the MaskUp campaign, we're harnessing the power of the New York fashion community to do just that," said Mariah Kennedy Cuomo.
