Roundup: Iran's total COVID-19 cases surpass 570,000 as Morocco's tally of infections nears 200,000

CAIRO, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Iran's tally of COVID-19 cases surged past 570,000 on Monday after 5,960 new infections were reported. Meanwhile, Morocco's total number is getting close to 200,000 with a single-day increase of 2,264 new cases.

The total number of the coronavirus cases in Iran reached 574,856, while the death toll rose by 337 to 32,953, said Sima Sadat Lari, spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
