Weekly storage of natural gas in U.S. up 1.3 pct: EIA

HOUSTON, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Working gas storage in the contiguous United States was 3,926 billion cubic feet (about 111.2 billion cubic meters) in the week ending Oct. 16, a net increase of 49 billion cubic feet, or 1.3 percent, from the previous week, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Thursday in a report.

The total working gas storage increased by 9.6 percent from this time last year, or 9.1 percent above the five-year average, according to the EIA's Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report.
