OTTAWA, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Canadian Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.5 percent year-on-year in September, up from August's 0.1 percent increase, according to Statistics Canada on Wednesday.
Excluding gasoline, the CPI rose 1.0 percent in September, following a 0.6 percent increase in August.
