RIGA, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- A moose that had wandered into downtown Riga on Tuesday morning managed to escape the police, who were trying to capture the wild animal, a police spokeswoman said.
At around 8:20 a.m., the law enforcement authorities were alerted to a moose walking from one of Riga's parks towards the city center.
