Roundup: Iran's COVID-19 cases rise to 530,380 as Turkey launches 7-day inspections of compliance with anti-virus rules

CAIRO, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Iran rose to 530,380 on Sunday. Meanwhile, Turkey decided to conduct general inspections of compliance with the anti-coronavirus rules on hygiene, social distancing, and wearing masks for the next seven days.

Iran, the hardest-hit country in the Middle East region, reported 3,890 new cases, bringing the total number of infections to 530,380.
