ROME, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Even amid the uncertainties around a resurgence in the coronavirus outbreak in Italy and an uneven restart to the economy, economists say Italy's near-term growth prospects are coming into focus.
This week, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicted Italy's economy would survive the pandemic better than previously expected, improving its estimate that the economy could contract 10.6 percent this year compared to a negative 12.8-percent in its previous forecast.
