SAO PAULO, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's southeast state of Sao Paulo plans to distribute 750,000 mobile phone chips with free internet access to help keep students and teachers connected as in-person education remains restricted due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Governor Joao Doria said on Wednesday.
"We want to provide technological support so that both students and teachers can be connected via their phones and work to reduce school dropouts," Doria told reporters at a press conference.
