ISTANBUL, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Bootleg alcohol has killed at least 32 people in several cities of Turkey in less than a week, highlighting a deadly social problem accentuated by rising taxes on liquor.
Since the first incident on Friday in the western province of Izmir, several counterfeit alcohol consumption cases in the Central Anatolian Kirikkale, southern Mersin, northwestern Mugla, and Istanbul have claimed 32 lives, according to local media.
