British stocks down 0.25 pct Monday

LONDON, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.25 percent, or 15.27 points, to close at 6,001.38 points.

Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust, a publicly traded investment trust, soared 3.13 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. DS Smith and Ocado Group increased by 2.82 percent and 2.56 percent, respectively.
