TEHRAN -- Iran on Thursday reported 4,392 new COVID-19 cases, the new highest single-day increase since the outbreak, raising the total confirmed number in the country to 488,236.

ANKARA -- Turkey announced 1,615 new COVID-19 infections on Thursday, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 330,753.

CAIRO -- Egypt's Supreme Council of Culture held late on Wednesday a seminar to celebrate the cultural exchange between Egypt and China.
Dubbed "Egypt and China," the seminar was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang, and Hesham Azmy, head of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Culture, as well as Magdy Amer, a former Egyptian ambassador to China, and a number of other officials from the two countries.
