JERUSALEM, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Israel's Ministry of Health reported 7,996 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, bringing the total to 253,490.
The number of death cases rose to 1,622, with 53 new fatalities, while the number of patients in serious condition decreased from 834 to 821, out of 1,529 patients currently hospitalized.
