FRANKFURT, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 401.67 points, or 3.22 percent, to close at 12,870.87 points.
Deutsche Bank won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 7.35 percent. Chemical group BASF and automotive manufacturer BMW gained by 4.62 percent and 4.52 percent respectively.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens and energy group RWE were the only two losers among the blue chips, falling by 1.54 percent and 0.03 percent respectively.
With its debut on Frankfurt stock exchange on Monday, Siemens Energy AG, the energy technology division of the Siemens Group became the most-traded share, with a turnover of 850.12 million euros (992.09 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 0.13 percent to close at 0.783 euros per share on Monday.
