LISBON, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- The Portuguese government decided on Thursday to extend the "contingency situation", a civil protection measure to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 14, according to a statement published on the official website.
The government also extended "exceptional measures to protect credits from families, companies and institutions," which allows for a moratorium on the payment of credits until Sept. 30, 2021.
