MEXICO CITY, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Mexico's government will this week formalize its participation in the COVAX Facility, a global initiative to ensure equitable access to any vaccines against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Foreign Affairs Minister Marcelo Ebrard said on Tuesday.

"It would be Mexico's first, so to speak, binding contract for access to vaccines against COVID-19," Ebrard said at a press conference, accompanied by President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
