RIGA, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Best information and communication technology (ICT) students from the Baltic states will take part in the international technology scholarship program "Seeds for the Future" organized by China's technology company Huawei.
Altogether 30 students, selected in a competition, will participate in the program -- ten from each of the Baltic states of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, according to Huawei Technologies Latvia.
The program will take place on Nov. 2-6. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's courses will be held online.
During the five-day program, the participating students will learn about the latest technologies, including 5G, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). There will also be lectures on cyber security and digital transformation.
The online courses will be offered simultaneously in all three Baltic countries.
"Seeds for the Future" is Huawei's flagship global corporate social responsibility program that was launched in 2008. The program aims to develop skilled, local ICT talent and bridge communication between countries and cultures.
