NEW YORK, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- U.S. oil prices surged on Wednesday.
The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for October delivery climbed 1.88 U.S. dollars, or 4.9 percent, to settle at 40.16 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
