OTTAWA, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Canadian Consumer Price Index (CPI) edged up 0.1 percent on a year-over-year basis in August, matching the 0.1 percent rise in July, Statistics Canada said Wednesday.
Excluding gasoline, the CPI edged up 0.6 percent in August, following a 0.7 percent increase in July.
