HONG KONG -- The Hong Kong police will keep in contact with related departments of the mainland to track the developments of a case in which 12 Hong Kong people were arrested on mainland waters for illegally crossing the boundary, a senior Hong Kong official said Monday.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government respects and will not interfere in the law enforcement of other jurisdictions, Secretary for Security John Lee Ka-chiu said in an online article. (Hong Kong-Mainland-Crime)
